MISSION STATEMENT
To provide highly visible and responsive police service to our community. We take great pride in the professionalism, creativity and dedication of our staff. We welcome the opportunity and challenge of working with the Community, City Departments, and other Criminal Justice Agencies to provide enhanced public safety and security in a diverse and dynamic community.
DEPARTMENT PURPOSE
The Department carries out implementation of the mission of prevention and deterrence of crime by the utilization of patrol in response to calls for service; POP projects and directed patrol; Detectives performing comprehensive investigations and liaison with other local law enforcement agencies; parking enforcement; DARE and Diversion programs, and city wide traffic enforcement.
